My name is Libby from Wagga Wagga and (in no particular order) I'm a Web and Graphic Designer, small-business owner, wife, mother, caffeine addict, chocolate junky and self-confessed
So what do I know about Tradie businesses you may ask? Well I'm obviously not a Tradie myself, but I'm married to one so what I do know is that they're often grubby, smelly and occasionally walk dirt onto my freshly mopped floors!
They play a vital role in the community both in job creation and the services they provide; that combined with my personal connection with Tradies equals plenty of reasons why
So How Did Riverina Tradies Start?
As mentioned my husband is a Tradie and one night we were discussing how much we were spending on advertising. At the time he had a Yellow Pages Ad that was costing just under $4000 a year.
This was not only extremely expensive for us, but knowing ourselves how often we didn't use “the book”, we just couldn’t see the value in spending that much money anymore, especially when advertising online was so much more affordable and proving to be more effective.
There wasn’t any online directories we were happy with though either, because they were either too complicated, too expensive, they listed anyone and everyone which meant your listing could get lost amongst way too many competitors, they weren't locally focussed or they were too general; listing all business types rather than just tradesmen...
